Why Is It So Hard to Niche Down?
If you’ve been studying how to make money online for any time, you’ve come across advice to niche down.
I create niche websites and still struggle with niching down, then I remember: Keep It Simple, Stupid.
Brainstorm, combine ideas, see what pops out, and assess interest.
Why Niche Down?
Because it’s incredibly difficult to compete with the huge media companies that target the top interests. It could take months to years and a ton of cash to get pages to rank in the big money health, wealth, and sex categories without niching down.
Health, wealth, and sex: natural blood pressure remedies, quick weight loss, testosterone supplements, and boner pills.
There is no guarantee that you will ever hit the coveted SERP1 (where the dollars are) if your niche is too high level.
By niching down we are targeting subgroups of a high-interest niche and making it easier to compete.
Why Is It So Hard?
Niching down can be a challenge for some, I know it is for me. Sometimes I think at too high a level and end up working my ass off only to have one of my niche sites lay there like a dead fish.
