The Future of Work In One Word

Brash, disrespectful, impatient? Nah.

I’ve been preparing for this my entire life. I know I’m not alone because I have met people like me.

Alone (but not), remote (but connected), individuals (on a team).

It’s time for us to do our thing and take over the world of work.

Brash, Disrespectful, and Impatient.

For no particular reason, I didn’t think I was going to live to see 30.

No particular reason at all.

It caused me to make some fucked up decisions, mostly related to academics — or anything that would resemble preparing myself for life as an adult. Although, I do have to say that spending my late teens through my twenties up to my neck in alcohol, drugs, and sex makes for a few amazing memories.

I was living to die and needed to make a ton of money to support my lifestyle.

So I got into computer programming and got really good, really fast.

People would tell me:

You need to slow down, put in your time, and pay your dues.

My blood would boil: I don’t have time for that shit.
