Thanks for your response, I dug in a little more by visiting his LinkedIn profile and website. I don't want to bash the guy, he's just trying to make a buck and build an audience. But arent the InterWebs great? You can create all this phantasik advice and not have a lick of experience in what you're writing about! :-)

I started a company by borrowing $500 from my parents, turned it into a profitable contract programming shop, and sold it within 5 years for a gargantuan ROI. I should write about that sometime. At least I've half assed my way into a decent life for me & my fam.
