My response to your comment is a little rambling, but here we go:
GDIT (Formerly Anteon I think), Perspecta, CACI, old DynCorp, NG and LMCO, and any of the other big boys that offer services to the Government all provide about the same thing from a pure services perspective — they provide bodies to do work.
BTW It’s crazy how the Govt gets annoyed with a company and decides they want to move on. So they spend up to a year in a source selection, award a contract, then many of the same people show up from the old contract on the new contract.
I’m pretty sure the sales cycle for large services contracts is based on contract cycles, and is LONG lead.
Those in small businesses that provide talent alway have an edge.
Cyber, data management, cloud, and software engineering are all specific technical areas where a small business will be able to to provide value to a larger business. Small businesses can pay more than large businesses because their overhead is lower or nonexistent.
So as a small business owner (of a technical staffing company), I will always be able to pay technical staff more, and people like money in their pockets.
Build a loyal team of 10–20 technical people.
Thanks for your comment!
