My favorite technical interview was when I was asked to come in to actually write some code. They handed me the spec and example output. Sat me at a desk, told me where the kitchen was, and to just have fun.

I spazzed out and knocked out the assignment in 45 minutes, I had all day.

I should have taken my time and had some free coffee that day, but over the years there I drank my weight in free coffee.
