I’ve Started Giving My Time Away
And it’s been incredibly rewarding.
Prior to March 2020, I would spend one week every month on the road. The travel itself was a bit tedious, but the social interaction with people I’d meet made it all worthwhile.
The past two years have found me largely working from home (that’s NOT a pun) and banging around with the same circle of people. At this point, we’re all pretty tired of being around each other 24/7 and it’s been getting me down.
You know exactly what I’m talking about too.
So I made a 2022 New Years Resolution designed to blast myself out of this funk:
I will talk to at least one new person every day.
But where will I find people I don’t know?
The easiest way I could think of was to contact people that subscribe to my email list. I sent a message asking people to reach out, that I’d love to spend 10 to 15 minutes just chatting.
Since my list is primarily made up of people that have found me on this platform, I thought someone would respond.
Nope.
Crickets.
