I think about all the songs that song writers have written over the years, thinking that each one is awesome, but nothing sticks.

Then they crank out some POS jingle jangle as a warm-up over a cup of coffee, license it later that afternoon, and it hits the charts.

I think it's like that with writing anything actually: apps, websites, blog posts, books, songs.

Some of the stuff that I've spent days on and thought "Man, this is going to crush" didn't get any hits at all.

Then I'll be having some tacos and a Pacifico, an idea will pop into my head, I'll crank it out on my phone, and it gets 2k views in a couple days.

Who knew? It's a damn mystery of the universe.
