Goals you know you can accomplish aren’t goals, they’re just tasks, and while tasks get the job done they don’t force growth. This quote is from a recent article that details my plan to earn an extra $100K this year and it resonated with a lot of my readers. Got me to thinking.
Tasks. Drudgery comes to mind when I think of the word. Dull, lifeless, menial work. Is that why task management software is popular? We need help managing the shit that sucks out our soul?
Goals. Dreams you set in concrete. To get them properly set you need to create a stable foundation, provide reinforcement. Get the right mix of water, sand, cement, and gravel. Then pour, level, float, and cure. Tasks.
Do your dreaming and take note of the ones you keep coming back to. This is the Universe sending you a message: “Start building a foundation.”
